First Lot of Devgad Hapus (Alphonso Mango) of 2021 arrived

The very first two boxes of Devgad Hapus Alphonso Mango of 2021 have arrived at APMC, Navi Mumbai. The start of Hapus mango season has created an atmosphere of excitement among the traders. Traders in the market committee are hopeful that the Hapus mango season will boost the market, which has been crippled by the year-long corona crisis.
Shankar Nanerkar, a farmer from Kunkeshwar in Devgad, has sent two boxes of Hapus mangoes to Avinash Pansare, a fruit market trader. The first mango of the season is considered to be the mango of the moment. Therefore, it is also prayed that the whole season will go well by worshiping this mango properly. This tradition, which has been going on since time immemorial, is still cherished by today’s traders. So the box of Hapus Mango that came in the market was worshiped.
Hapus has now entered the market in the first week of January. However, the main season of Hapus in Konkan is yet to start. However, the picture is that mango production will remain low this year. The mango blossom is falling due to the severe damage caused to the trees by the storm and the severe cold that is now falling in it. Therefore, even though the mango of the moment has come in the market, the main season of hapus will be delayed. Trader Avinash Pansare has informed that the real season of Hapus Mango will start in the first week of March. It is clear that mangoes will arrive late this year and the average production of mangoes will be lower than every year.
