Nymphs are very minute, slender, yellowish and wingless.The adult is small, slender, yellowish to brown with fringed wings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Symptoms<\/strong> &#8211; <span id=\"DLPest_ctl01_ParameterData\">Both nymph and adult suck the sap from the lower surface of leaves lacerating the leaf tissue. In case of severe infestation leaves curl up and become crumbled<\/span><strong><span id=\"DLPest_ctl01_ParameterData\">.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Crops affected &#8211; <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cropinfo.in\/agriinfo\/crop-compendium\/cotton\/\">Cotton<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cropinfo.in\/agriinfo\/crop-compendium\/chilli\/\">Chilly<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Management<\/strong> &#8211; <span id=\"DLPest_ctl01_ParameterData\">Monitor the nymphs and adults of early season sucking pests from the 14th day after sowing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"DLPest_ctl01_ParameterData\">Spray 5% neem seed kernel extract prepared or crude neem oil spray @ 1% to suppress thrips population during pre squaring crop stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"DLPest_ctl01_ParameterData\">Detergent\/ soap powder @ 1 g\/litre of spray fluid is to be added for getting uniform spray suspension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"DLPest_ctl01_ParameterData\">Spray any one of the following insecticides \/ ha. methyl demeton 500 ml, dimethoate 500 ml\/ha (Spray fluid 500 l\/ha).
